So, after multiple false starts and an ultimate cancelation
in October, we’re about to head south Sunday afternoon in our new Ford Transit,
which we have converted into a camper van.
We’ll be exploring the southern Appalachians and visiting some Civil War
battlefields before ending up with my sister Wendy and Carl on St. George
Island on the Florida panhandle, AKA, the Red Neck Riviera.
Our return will include stops in Nashville, Huntington,
Indiana where we’re having the campervan outfitter, Sportsmobile, install a poptop
roof in our new vehicle, and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
Can't wait!
Hey guys, let's see the interior of this new cruise machine...
ReplyDeleteHey aging hippies.....Mr Gadnah sent me your blog...Looks like the van came out sweeeet! ..Will it go down Sandy Neck if you air down??...take a bunch of pics of the roof coming off.....A+ on your blog and Historical info... We're following it from PR...Good to see you still get up early....
ReplyDeleteHi Arthur! Our van is only a 2 wheel, rear wheel drive, so won't be able to trek onto CC's beaches. It's still pretty stripped down right now in preparation for the pop top installation that's taking place when we stop at Sportsmobile in indiana. I've made two additional storage cabinets, and we have panels for the walls. We'll be bringing it down to the Cape sometime between now and Labor day so I'll proudly show it off.
